Victoria Kammerinke, ’20

I am currently enrolled in the Durham University Business School, a top 100 university worldwide. Continuing my academic and athletic career, I was offered a sport scholarship to play field hockey for the university team and pursue my MSc. in Management (Finance). In January 2021 I will join Six Degree Oxford, student-led, non-profit consultancy organization led by current students with the focus to bring sustainable solutions to businesses and other NGOs. Upon graduation, I plan on continuing my field hockey career in the German Bundesliga. Besides that, I am currently applying for trainee programs in Finance and consulting.

I learned about the opportunity to pursue my Masters degree in the UK by chance. One day, the Director of sports experience in Durham visited St. Joe’s because he was from the Philly area. Not thinking anything about it, I received a scholarship offer and was accepted into the business school.

My SJU education shaped me in uncountable ways, leading up to me getting accepted into a masters program. SJU and being on the field hockey team taught me that resilience, hard work and determination can make possible whatever you set your mind to.

I participated in weekly service at the Hub of Hope in Philadelphia county.
