Briefly describe your position/opportunity.

I currently am teaching 1st grade in New Jersey!

How did you first learn about or get connected to your current position/opportunity?

I was connected with this opportunity through Indeed.

How did your SJU education impact your position or professional goals?

I went through undergrad at SJU, where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Autism Studies. Through the education program was able to prepare me through field experience and a ton of hands-on projects. When I was interviewing, I was able to talk about all my different experiences I was given.

Did you participate in any experiential learning activities (internship, co-op, study abroad, etc.) while at SJU?

Yes! I participated in service learning, weekly service, field experience, study abroad, clubs, work study and student teaching.
