Lauren Fick, ’18

As a junior account executive, I manage the Linvilla Orchard account relationship acting as point person. I also collaborate on a team of 5-10 people to support five other accounts. My role involves communicating with local magazines, news stations, newspapers, and bloggers to provide catered pitches on how Linvilla attracts their population resulting in publicity for the orchard. I also work to create polished and engaging press materials and releases. In a typical day I contact media, clip media postings, collaborate with my team, and talk with clients.

As a marketing intern, I was in charge of our social media, newsletter, and community outreach. I also planned events, including our fall fashion show.

The main skills I used on a daily basis include: writing, communication, Canva, and social media.

The English and Marketing classes I have taken helped prepare me for this opportunity. My SJU education also instilled in me the importance of acting professionally and how to do so.
