While obtaining my Masters degree in English at Villanova University, I work as a Graduate Assistant for their Honors Program, working with undergraduate Honors students on their theses, running social media for the program, and much more.

I learned about the Villanova University Masters program in English from a fellow undergraduate English major at SJU who went on to study in that program after graduating from SJU. I applied to the Graduate Assistant position in the Honors Program because I thought I would be well-qualified due to the fact that I graduated from the Honors Program at SJU.

Following my graduation from SJU, I worked in the journalism and education fields before pursuing my dream of attending graduate school. My English professors and courses at SJU further sparked my interest in studying writing and literature at a graduate level, and I felt prepared to take on the task of the Masters program in English at Villanova University. Also, being a part of the Honors Program at SJU influenced me to apply for the position of Graduate Assistant in Villanova's Honors Program, which is currently funding my Masters
degree and is providing me with important professional experience.

While at SJU, I was a cheerleader, a writer/editor for The Hawk student newspaper, and a member of the Honors Program. I also took part in other journalism extracurriculars, including HerCampus SJU and College Fashionista, and internships, including The Hammonton Gazette and NBC10. Thanks to my minor in Italian, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy during the summer of 2017, between my junior and senior years at SJU, through the Rome Study Tour.
