Alexandrya Pope, ’20

I am a research assistant within the department of psychiatry at Yale University. I work in multiple research projects in the Family Violence Lab, where I conduct interviews with the most resilient individuals.

The experimental psychology master’s program, my professors, and graduate mentor all prepared me for life outside of SJU. The experience I gained through my 2 years at Saint Joe’s aided me in the job application process and made me more valuable as an applicant. The experiences I was immersed in during my time at SJU have helped propel me to the opportunities I have today.

My experiences at Saint Joseph’s University and my position at Yale has led me to apply to MSW programs in Connecticut over the past few months. I will be attending Southern Connecticut State University’s Social Work Clinical Practice MSW program in August 2022, while working full-time at Yale University.
