Miceli Named Atlantic 10 Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Saint Joseph's senior Bella Miceli earned Atlantic 10 Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, announced by the conference office.
 
Miceli helped pace the Hawks to a 2-0 week with wins over Duquesne and St. Bonaventure on the week, averaging 2.5 caused turnovers and 7.0 draw controls per game in the stint. The Redding, Conn. native scooped up four ground balls and caused three turnovers against the Dukes, nearly matching her career-high with nine draw controls. Miceli added two caused turnovers in the Senior Day victory over the Bonnies, earning five draws in the win.
 
The senior ranks seventh in program history with 65 caused turnovers, while her 161 draw controls rank sixth in program history. Miceli has earned 20+ caused turnovers in back-to-back seasons.
