LaCalandra, Dutton Earn A-10 Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Accolades

Saint Joseph's attacking duo Richie LaCalandra and Ben Dutton earned Atlantic 10 Under Armour Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, as the A-10 office announced the weekly accolades on Monday afternoon.
LaCalandra tallied 10 points on the week for the Hawks for a 2-0 performance against #17 Penn and Providence. The Port Jefferson Station, N.Y. native tallied two goals and three assists against the nationally-ranked Quakers before repeating his performance on the weekend against Providence. LaCalandra has scored at least five points in each of his last five games, ranking second in the Atlantic 10 in assists (17), third in points (33) and 10th in goals (15). The attackman has registered three of the last four A-10 Offensive Player of the Weeks.
Dutton set a freshman record for the Hawks after a nine-goal performance over the week, registering a hat trick against #17 Penn before bursting for a six-goal outing against Providence to set the freshman single-game scoring record against the Friars. The Denver, Colo. native has scored five-consecutive hat tricks and has tallied multiple goals in each of his last eight games. Dutton leads the conference with 28 goals on the season and is one goal shy of tying the program's freshman single-season goalscoring record.
