The Saint Joseph's field hockey team moved up three spots to 10th in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Coaches Poll released on Tuesday morning.
 
The biggest movers in this week's poll, the Hawks posted a 3-0 record last week, earning a gritty 1-0 win at then-#11 Rutgers before collecting a pair of blowout wins over local rivals Villanova and Penn over the weekend.
 
Previous opponents UConn, Penn State, and Rutgers are ranked this week; Rutgers slipped two spots to #13 while UConn moved up two spots to #14 and Penn State re-entered the poll at #20.
 
Duke fell one spot to #5; the Hawks will visit the Blue Devils this Sunday, September 22. Virginia, who the Hawks will meet on October 13, held at #3 while Harvard, which visits Hawk Hill on October 27, slipped one place to #8.
 
Saint Joseph's visits Davidson on Friday evening; game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
