Many undergraduates will set up a meal plan and choose to eat regularly at one of 11 on-campus eateries. SJU Dining Services has information about meal plans, hours, locations and menus.
Dining Options
Whether you're an undergrad living on campus, or a graduate student looking to grab a bite between work and class, we've got you covered.
Eating Options
The HawkCard - your official student ID - serves as the key to your meal plan and also an account where you can load and spend "Hawk Cash." In addition to being accepted on campus, Hawk Cash can also be used at the Starbucks on 54th & City Ave. and other local grocery stores and restaurants. You do not have to have a meal plan to use Hawk Cash.
If you're looking for off campus options, there are plenty of healthy eateries, fast-casual and sit-down restaurants in our surrounding neighborhood. From the restaurants right on City Avenue, to mainline hotspots in Ardmore's Suburban Square and Center City, to trying Philly's famous Reading Terminal Market and top-rated Steven Starr restaurants, you'll find what you're craving.
Coffee On Campus
There's the fuel that helps your body stay healthy...and then there's the fuel that wakes up your brain. If you are a coffee drinker, Saint Joseph's has you covered. Coffee is served in the main dining halls, but we also have a few spots right on campus where you can grab your cup of Joe:
Your Health is Our Priority
The food choices we make directly impact the energy and focus we need to reach our goals. But eating healthy in college can be challenging, especially when managing a full schedule with classes and extracurricular activities.
Here at Saint Joseph's University, we offer a broad range of healthy options to choose from. Options range from fresh fruits and vegetables available in the salad, grill and stir-fry bars at Campion Dining Hall to hearty soups and nutritious sandwiches from Bellarmine Express when you're in a hurry. We also work with our suppliers to reduce the sodium and unhealthy fats in their ingredients to ensure you are getting essential vitamins and nutrients.
We accommodate food allergies, preferences and special dietary needs in a way that’s sensitive, personalized and supportive. For additional information, please email dietitian@sju.edu.
