The Department of Pharmacy Practice supports postgraduate training in the form of residencies to prepare Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) graduates to be independent practitioners of clinical pharmacy and to assume the roles and responsibilities for direct patient care. The program also offers opportunities to teach the knowledge, skills and professionalism to PharmD and other healthcare students in both the classroom and practice settings.
We offer four Pharmacy Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY2) Residency Programs:
These programs are designed to further refine skills obtained during a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency and contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in advanced or specialized practice.
The Pharmaceutical Industry and Education Fellowship Program at Saint Joseph’s University provides pharmacists with hands-on experiential training in a collaborative, team-based corporate environment. The academic component of the fellowship offers opportunities to apply new skills and enhance professional growth in pursuit of a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
