Health Sciences - Clinical Leadership Concentration

Offered 100% online, the clinical leadership concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Health Science is designed for adult learners seeking to advance their careers. This concentration offers courses focused on key concepts within healthcare leadership.

This concentration is only open to students who are currently enrolled in or are graduates of an associate degree program from Saint Joseph’s University’s Lancaster location. Students will transfer 60 credits from their associate's degree and complete 60-64 credits in the Bachelor of Science in Health Science clinical leadership concentration. The number of credits is contingent on the particular courses you've completed in the associate's degree.

  • The clinical leadership concentration offers five required courses in healthcare to prepare you to become clinical leaders. Courses focus on:

  • Courses are taught by healthcare leaders who have expertise in working through the challenges that today's healthcare administrators and patients experience. Faculty members will provide guidance on how to navigate these issues through the lens of their unique expertise in healthcare and leadership.

What Can I Do with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Clinical Leadership Concentration?

The clinical leadership concentration provides students with knowledge in clinical leadership, healthcare finance fundamentals and health policy. These skills can be used in a variety of areas, including patient management, healthcare administration and data analysis.

Clinicians with an associate’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University can apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills in leadership and financial literacy to become:

Admission Information

To apply for this program, complete an application online. SAT and/or ACT scores are optional but you can submit them if you think they’ll strengthen your application.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but applicants must be previous graduates of, or currently enrolled in, an allied health associate's degree at Saint Joseph's University in Lancaster (or the former Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences). Transfer applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
