Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Educational Leadership Certificate

Most diversity, equity and inclusion certificates are offered in a non-credit online or seminar-style format as part of a school’s executive education portfolio. Saint Joseph’s University’s unique Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Educational Leadership Certificate program is unique in that students can apply the courses from this certificate toward an Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education Leadership, presenting a unique opportunity for students to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive workforce.

We’ve designed our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Educational Leadership Certificate in a hybrid format. Students will attend one on-campus night course followed by asynchronous, online work the rest of the week. Created with the working professional in mind, flexibility and choice are built-in so you can balance work, family and all the other commitments of a busy life.

Saint Joseph's educational leadership faculty are experts in their fields, bringing theory, practice and relevance to the classroom. Our small, dynamic classes allow for discussion, reflection and collaboration.

To be considered for admission you must have a master's degree and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The director of diversity and inclusion is responsible for ensuring an organization’s hiring and employee-related policies are fair, inclusive, and promote diversity. A diversity and inclusion role allows a person to work at all levels of personnel within an organization. In an educational setting, the DEI director implements and oversees the institutions goals regarding diversity, equity and inclusion goals throughout the curriculum and programs for students, staff, faculty and parents.
