Saint Joseph’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in Educational Leadership Certificate provides the skills and resources necessary for leaders in education to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students and colleagues. You will be equipped with the skills necessary to provide a safe and and equitable culture for all, regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national or ethnic origin, disability, age, marital status or class.
Offered in a hybrid format with one in-person class followed by asynchronous instruction, you will learn the following:

The DEI in Educational Leadership Certificate is designed for:
- Current Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education Leadership (IDEPEL) students who seek to augment their EdD degree
- Non-IDEPEL students who only wish to take the four courses for the certificate
- Non-IDEPEL students who wish to complete the IDEPEL EdD after the four-course DEI in Educational Leadership Certificate, with the four courses counting toward EdD degree completion

Saint Joseph’s University’s unique Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Educational Leadership Certificate program is unique in that students can apply the courses from this certificate toward an Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education Leadership, presenting a unique opportunity for students to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive workforce.

We’ve designed our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Educational Leadership Certificate in a hybrid format. Students will attend one on-campus night course followed by asynchronous, online work the rest of the week. Created with the working professional in mind, flexibility and choice are built-in so you can balance work, family and all the other commitments of a busy life.
