What is a Chinese Language and Culture Minor?
Saint Joseph’s University’s Chinese language and culture minor provides a foundation in the culture , perspectives and societal behaviors of the Chinese people. As a Chinese major or minor, you will take language courses that utilize advanced teaching methods and cutting-edge instructional materials and technology. If you’re a beginner or intermediate, you will develop proficiency in aural comprehension, speaking, reading, writing and word processing in Mandarin Chinese. In addition to taking six required courses totaling 18 credits, you will also take a class on Chinese culture, which may be taken in English.
