How to File a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA)

A Protection From Abuse Order (PFA) offers relief from an abuser for up to three years. An individual who is 18 years of age or more can go to court and request a PFA, which will make it illegal for an abuser to contact you (or your children, if applicable).
