They offer one-on-one appointments with professional staff members in areas such as time management, textbook reading, note taking, test taking, memory, and concentration. Learning strategy consultations take place via Zoom and are free to enrolled graduate and professional students. Want to strengthen your approach in this class or fine-tune your learning strategies? The Saint Joseph’s University Office of Learning Resources (OLR) empowers students to make a smooth transition to the university and to hone their skills in order to study more efficiently and effectively. This course is supported by a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader, a student who has previously and successfully completed the course. Your SI Leader will sit back in the class, taking notes alongside you, and will plan and run two weekly group review sessions open to all members of the course. In addition to SI, the OLR offers peer tutoring support in a wide range of subjects. If you are seeking to strengthen your learning strategies (note-taking, textbook reading, etc.), they offer one-on-one appointments with professional staff members.
