Freshman Information
Academic Boot Camp
Academic Boot Camp is an event held on the first day of classes for freshmen student-athletes. During the event, freshmen will receive information on the office, learn about academic support and start to organize and plan for their upcoming semester.
Freshman Seminars
Throughout the fall semester, freshmen student-athletes will attend three freshman seminars. These seminars provide information on a variety of topics, including academic skill development, wellness, and a student-athlete panel to learn about additional support, how to get involved and how best to take advantage of your four years on Hawk Hill.
Study Hall
The Athlete Center for Enrichment recognizes the benefits that study hall offers freshmen student-athletes making the transition from high school to college. Therefore, study hall is mandatory for all incoming freshmen student-athletes. The required number of hours varies from 6-10 hours each week, based on individual teams.
In addition, study hall may be required for upperclassman. Required hours are dependent upon cumulative GPA and team requirements.
