Accounting Society
Overview
The primary mission of the Accounting Society is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence and opportunities in the field of accounting. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting; providing opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing accountants, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. The society does this by providing a series of speakers on timely and relevant topics affecting the field of accounting. It also sponsors an Accounting Social to provide an opportunity for students to meet and greet the many firms that intern at Saint Joseph's University.
Overall, the Accounting Society meetings are something that students look forward to. At each meeting, you can expect to see and meet friends, experience learning outside of the textbooks, and most important to any college student: FREE FOOD! We're talking subs, pizza, soda, the whole nine. Enjoy!
