Athletics Events
As a Division I University, Saint Joseph’s offers fans 20 competitive sports programs. Neighbors are welcome to join in the rallying cry, The Hawk Will Never Die. We also understand that it is helpful to have a preview of game days for parking and traffic impact on our neighboring communities. Visit Saint Joseph's athletics page for up-to-date schedules which can be filtered by sport and added to your own Google, Android, Outlook or Apple calendar.
Partnerships
Saint Joseph's University is a leading stakeholder in the City Avenue Special Services District and a founding partner of the Wynnefield Overbrook Revitalization Corporation (WORC).
- The City Avenue Special Services District represents a unique partnership between the City of Philadelphia and the Township of Lower Merion; between the public and private sectors. Covering parts of both Philadelphia and Lower Merion, Pennsylvania, the District is the first multi-jurisdictional special services or business improvement district from among over 1,200 districts in North America.
- The Wynnefield Overbrook Revitalization Corporation is an effort conceived by Mayor Michael Nutter and Saint Joseph's University to leverage public and private resources toward improving the quality of life in neighborhoods adjacent to our campus and to the boundaries of the City Avenue Special Services District. WORC focuses on preserving single-family housing opportunities, commercial and retail economic development, and recreational opportunities.
The neighborhoods adjacent to Saint Joseph's University maintain healthy and active civic organizations. Representatives of the Office of Government and Community Relations attend regularly scheduled civic meetings. Those organizations include:
- Wynnefield Residents Association (WRA)
- Wynnefield Community Center Advisory Council (WCCAC)
- Overbrook Farms Club
- Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd
- Merion Civic Association
