Laudato Si’ Action Platform Goals

Published by Pope Francis, Laudato Si’ calls for urgent action to address the environmental crisis facing the planet. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of environmental, social and economic issues, and stresses the moral obligation of all people to care for “our common home” and protect the natural world for future generations. Laudato Si’ has seven goals:

Pope Francis invited colleges and universities to sign a Commitment Letter to the Vatican to begin a multi-year Journey to become designated as a Laudato Si’ University. Saint Joseph’s signed on in July 2024.
