Writing Tutor Application Fall 2025
ENG 345: Tutor Practicum: Writing Center Theory & Practice

The SJU Writing Center invites undergraduate students of all majors to apply for ENG 345: Tutor Practicum, Writing Center Theory & Practice, a course that is offered once a year, in the fall semester. In Fall 2025, the course will be offered MWF at 9:05 a.m. in the Writing Center on the Hawk Hill campus. All students who successfully complete the course are eligible to be hired for paid positions in the Writing Center beginning the following semester.

Applications are due by midnight on Monday, March 17. We will hold interviews for finalists Thursday, March 20 through Monday, March 25. We expect to inform candidates by Wednesday, March 26, ahead of the Fall 2025 registration period.

Students who are unable to complete the online application, or who have any questions about the application process, should contact the Writing Center Director, Dr. Jenny Spinner.
