Tim Ryan is a dedicated professional in the field of substance use prevention. With 14 years of prevention experience, coupled with 5 years of working in treatment and recovery settings, he has developed a deep understanding of the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing substance misuse among individuals, families, and communities. Tim has worked with hundreds of school communities throughout the United States and in over forty countries on 5 continents.
Tim is highly skilled in developing and delivering engaging presentations, workshops, and training on substance misuse prevention. He has a knack for tailoring his approach to diverse audiences, ensuring that information is accessible, engaging, and impactful. Passionate about empowering individuals to make informed choices, Tim actively promotes the development of protective factors and resilience in young people. He is well-versed in implementing strategies that build positive coping skills, enhance self-esteem, and foster a sense of belonging, ultimately reducing the likelihood of substance misuse.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Education from Castleton State University. He is committed to ongoing professional development and actively engages in workshops, conferences, and networking opportunities to further enhance his expertise. When he is not working, Tim spends his time, skiing, playing golf, and hiking with his wife.
Eduardo Torres

Eduardo Torres has had a distinguished career with Hazelden Betty Ford's Prevention Solutions (formerly known as FCD). Over his 12-year tenure, he made substantial contributions to numerous schools across 42 countries, significantly impacting the field of prevention. His dedication and expertise earned him top recognition, consistently placing him among the top 1% of Prevention specialists based on client feedback and retention.
In acknowledgment of his exceptional skills and contributions, Eduardo was honored with the titles of Supervising Field Officer and Senior Prevention Specialist. This role, involving the oversight and mentorship of other prevention specialists, underscores the trust and respect he commanded within the organization.
Eduardo's passion is deeply rooted in the mission of prevention, emphasizing the development of critical thinking skills in youth and empowering them to make informed decisions about substance abuse. His efforts have undoubtedly had a profound and enduring impact, contributing to healthier, safer environments for young individuals.
Outside of his professional commitments, Eduardo cherishes quality time with his family, enjoying moments with his loved ones. He also pursues personal interests in running, having completed a full marathon. Eduardo holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand Canyon University and an A.A.S. in Addiction Counseling with an emphasis in Chemical Dependency. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Eduardo is adept at delivering prevention services in both languages, further enhancing his effectiveness in diverse communities.
