Residence Hall Cup
What is the Residence Hall Cup?
The Residence Hall Cup Competition is an initiative designed to encourage and recognize community and team development among the first-year residential communities. Throughout the course of the year, a series of events will be held for the first-year residence halls to compete against each other and earn points for their hall. We invite all residents to participate in this friendly competition and to "rep their res hall" throughout the year!
Events / Ways to Earn Points
- Building Socials - Residence Hall Cup Kick-Off
- Thursday, November 2nd, 5 pm
- LaFarge Lounge / McShain Lobby / Sourin Lobby / Villiger Lounge
- Get ready to "rep your res hall" and claim your hall shirt so that you can wear it with pride throughout the year. Quantities are limited, so be sure to get their early!
- Best Nest Competition
- In addition to prizes offered for the "Best Nest" on campus, the first-year community with the highest percentage of residents participating will earn points for their community.
- Submissions due 11/13!
- RA Feedback Survey
- We want to make sure our RAs, and Residence Life, is best serving our residential students. Help us assess how we're doing and earn points for your community! The first-year community with the highest percentage of residents participating will earn points for their community.
- Surveys due 11/15!
- Taylor Swift Trivia Night
- Calling all Swifties...we will be hosting a trivia night to test your knowledge regarding all things Taylor! Attendees are encouraged to dress up and sing-along while competing for themed prizes.
- In addition to individual prizes for trivia winners, points will be awarded the buildings with the highest percentage of residents in attendance.
