How To Get Your 1098-T Form
2021 1098-T's Tax information for Students
If you are a current student:
- Log onto The Nest
- Go to the Students tab
- Under Tuition Information
Select Access your 1098-T Form
- Enter the tax year
If you are a recent graduate or not currently enrolled
Log onto The Nest
- Enter your username and password
- If you cannot remember your password, click on the “Forgot/Reset Password” link under the LOGIN button and follow the instructions
- If you have graduated, you will still be able to reset your password for up to one year
From the home page, scroll down to Administrative Services
- Select the Student folder
- Go to the Students tab
- Under Tuition Information
- Select Access your 1098-T Form
- Enter the tax year

Federal Regulations require students to provide their SSN or TIN for federal reporting. The requirement applies to any student regardless of whether or not the student will seek the American opportunity tax credit or Lifetime Learning Credit.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure your information is accurate by December 31.
Pursuant to privacy laws and regulations, the U.S. Tax Identification Number is only used for reporting purposes as required and will not be used as an identifier in any Saint Joseph’s University student records system.

If we are sending you a letter via email or USPS, we do not have your SSN on file.
If we do not have your Social Security Number on file, we are required by the IRS to solicit the information from the student.
If we do not have your social security or we have incorrect information, this could result in fines imposed to the student by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), regardless of whether the student is intending to seek the tax credit.

The 1098-T is a statement provided by Saint Joseph’s University to eligible students who paid qualifying educational expenses during the calendar year. The 1098-T may be used to claim the American opportunity tax credit or Lifetime Learning Credit on their federal income tax returns.
Saint Joseph’s University is required to file a 1098-T with the IRS.

All eligible students will be notified by email no later than January 31 that the form is available on The Nest. To view your 1098-T, go to the Tuition and Aid tab, under Payment Options and Information, Tax Forms, “Access your 1098-T Form”. You will then need to login to Self Service. Once logged in, you will be able to select the tax year and print the form.

In an effort to maintain sustainability, 1098-T forms will not be mailed to your home.
If you require the form to be mailed, you can request it be mailed by emailing The Office of the Bursar at bursarsoffice@sju.edu or by calling our office at 610-660-2400. This form will be mailed to the Permanent Address on file. Please be sure your permanent address is correct. If you need to update your information please visit TeamDynamix and submit the request.

Saint Joseph’s University keeps your user name active for one year. If your password has expired, please enter your username, then click “forgot password”. This will enable you to create a new password and access your 1098-T.
