Fellowships Office
The Fellowships office assists undergraduate students to apply successfully for major fellowships, including awards for undergraduate study, study abroad, graduate study, and research internships.
GEP Program
The General Education Program (GEP) at Saint Joseph’s University involves a distinctive liberal arts education in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition, providing all students with the broad knowledge, essential skills, appreciation of diversity, and ethically informed perspective needed by those who would aspire to be “men and women for others.”
Honors Program
Saint Joseph's University’s Honors Program guides students to attain the highest standards of academic, professional and personal achievement. The enriched General Education curriculum broadens cultural interests, integrates knowledge, sharpens writing skills, and encourages student involvement in the learning process.
Office of the Provost
The Office of the Provost staff lead and support the academic administrative operations, academic finance, accreditation, assessment, and faculty affairs functions. The division of Academic Affairs is committed to enhancing every aspect of the student and faculty experience at Saint Joseph’s University.
Office of Research Services
The Office of Research Services (ORS) assists members of the Saint Joseph's University community in seeking extramural funding for sponsored projects. The ORS provides pre and post-award services.
Office of Teaching and Learning
The Office of Teaching & Learning (OTL) supports the pursuit of teaching excellence by fostering reflection and campus-wide conversations about teaching and encouraging the adoption of practices that enhance student learning.
Saint Joseph's Libraries
The F.A. Drexel Library and Post Learning Commons at Hawk Hill and the J.W. England Library at University City comprise the Saint Joseph’s University Libraries. The Libraries support the academic programs of Saint Joseph’s University with books and periodicals in both print and electronic formats, research databases, audio-visual materials, and microforms. In addition, the Libraries provides circulating collections of popular reading and audiobooks.
University Press
Saint Joseph's University Press is the scholarly publishing arm of Saint Joseph's University, and a Jesuit institution, incorporated in 1852 in the City of Philadelphia. The university's mission statement asserts that its Catholic character springs from its historical relationship with the Roman Catholic Church and from its current embodiment of the great traditions of Catholic life and culture.
The University Press publishes in three areas that reflect Saint Joseph's University's Jesuit heritage and its commitment to the city of Philadelphia, the place of its founding: Early Modern Catholicism and the Visual Arts, Jesuit Studies, and Regional Studies.
University Registrar
Data integrity, accurate record creation, record update, dissemination of academic records, and information surrounding academic records are the primary responsibilities of the Saint Joseph's University Registrar’s Office.
Writing Center
The SJU Writing Center offers free assistance to all writers in the Saint Joseph's University community. Guided by the mission of our Jesuit institution, we promise to treat writers with care and respect, to help them identify the best strategies to achieve rhetorical success, while also honoring language rights, and to commit ourselves fully to those we serve in our work as a writing center staff.
