Women's Basketball Announces Staff Addition of Mary Sheehan '20, '22
"We are thrilled to welcome Mary back to Hawk Hill," said Griffin. "As a former student-athlete, she understands and embraces what it means to be a Hawk. Her organizational and personal skills will be a great asset to our program."
Sheehan returns to Hawk Hill, having played her final year for the Crimson and Gray in the 2021-22 campaign. Most recently, Sheehan spent the past year as an audit and assurance assistant at Deloitte.
A native of Drexel Hill, Pa., Sheehan spent five seasons as a Hawk, making 93 appearances for St. Joe's. Sheehan finished with 349 points in her career while serving as team captain in her final two seasons. Sheehan graduated in 2020 with a degree in accounting, finishing her MBA and certificate in data analytics, data management and leadership in 2022.
Sheehan fills the role of director of basketball operations, held by Joe Logan over the previous two years. Griffin also announced the elevation of Logan to the coaching staff, having been an assistant for the Hawks from 2001-05 before becoming the all-time wins leader as head coach of Loyola (Md.). In addition to his assistant coach duties, Logan has also been named director of external operations for the women's basketball program.
St. Joe's begins the 2023-24 slate with an opening matchup against Rider in less than a month, hosting the Broncs at Hagan Arena on Tuesday, November 7th.
