USciences Hosts Bicentennial Community Block Party

USciences hosted a free Bicentennial Block Party as part of the University’s Bicentennial celebration on October 2, 2021. The event took place on campus and included family friendly entertainment and activities.

As part of the celebration, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney presented a proclamation in honor of National Pharmacy Month to students from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Mayor Kenney recognized contributions that USciences and pharmacists have made to the Philadelphia community both historically and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Entertainment included a DJ and drumline performance from Mad Beatz, Zumba, and student dance group performances. Various University and student organizations were present and hosted games, crafts, science demonstrations, and more.
