Ryan DeSanto Named Atlantic 10 Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Saint Joseph's sophomore left-hander Ryan DeSanto was named the Atlantic 10 Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

The Frederick, Maryland, native unfurled a gem on Sunday, taking a no-hitter into the ninth inning as the Hawks topped George Mason, 5-2, for a critical series sweep. After allowing a single to a leadoff pinch hitter, DeSanto recorded one more out before being lifted to a standing ovation from the Smithson Field faithful. He finished the day with one run allowed on one hit, striking out nine without walking a batter in eight and a third innings.
DeSanto and the Hawks hosted Villanova on Tuesday before George Washington visits for the final series of the regular season beginning on Thursday.
