Professor Partners with Compass Pathways to Create Drug Discovery Center

Jason Wallach, PhD, assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences has been working with Compass Pathways to launch a Drug Discovery Center at USciences. The Philadelphia Inquirer featured Dr. Wallach in a story about this partnership, sharing that Compass Pathways has given Dr. Wallach $500,000 to fund this research in his lab.
The focus of Dr. Wallach’s research is to explore potential benefits of mind-altering, psychedelic drugs.
“We’re looking for new molecules with useful properties,” Dr. Wallach shared with The Inquirer. “We’re expanding and hope to do exciting work. It would be great to put USciences on the map for determining the direction of the pharmaceutical industry.”
