A Look at Saint Joseph’s New Campbell’s Collaboration Center
The Campbell's Collaboration Center at Saint Joseph’s University will serve as a venue for SJU and food marketing classes and recruitment, the student-run Food Marketing Association and an ongoing industry lecture series.
The University’s Academy of Food Marketing (AFM) and the Campbell’s Soup Company have partnered on a new food marketing collaboration space. The Campbell’s Collaboration Center, which opened in September, is located on the first floor of the Drexel Library.
“The newly created Campbell’s Collaboration Center offers a cutting-edge learning environment for both undergraduate and graduate food marketing students,” says Joseph Bivona, executive director of the Academy of Food Marketing. “The space allows students to engage with the latest industry tools under the guidance of our expert food marketing faculty.”
Campbell's Collaboration Center elevates the educational experience for food marketing students through a collaborative work space featuring open seating, wireless technology, touch screens and more. They’ll also have access to industry leaders from Campbell’s brand, marketing and sales guest-speaker and company-hosted learning events, in addition to recruiting opportunities.
“This marks the next step in Campbell’s and Saint Joseph’s University’s nearly 60-year partnership,” says Madison Lujan, BS ’17, senior manager of snacks, digital commerce and omni-shopper marketing at Campbell’s Soup Company. The space gives students the unique opportunity to see and interact with Campbell’s marketing initiatives and brand strategies that drive consumer engagement.
And, in addition to showcasing Campbell's archival memorabilia, the collaboration center is slated to feature planograms, mapping apps and category management resources in the future — resources that students may experience in their co-ops or future careers.
“This new center enhances the prestige of the food marketing major at SJU by showcasing strong industry support from a long-standing corporate partner,” says Alison Nolan, senior director of events and sponsorships for the Academy of Food Marketing.
