Hundreds of Donors Support USciences Giving Tuesday

This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign on November 30, 2021, brought together more than 440 USciences donors in support of student activities, research, and more.

This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign raised more than $108,000 from 570 gifts including challenge grants which were secured by many USciences Athletics teams and the Black Student Union. A number of matches were donated to specific funds including to the departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Physical Therapy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.

Giving Tuesday is a national movement for philanthropic support following Thanksgiving and its associated shopping events — Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday, which began in 2012, kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
