Hand-in-Hand Hosts 38th Annual Community Event

PHILADELPHIA (April 2, 2014) – Hand-in-Hand, a campus organization that raises awareness and acceptance for individuals with special needs, will host their 38th annual carnival, “Dive in with Hand-in-Hand!,” on Sat., April 12, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., on campus in the Hagan Arena.

SJU student volunteers as well as local high school students will pair up with a guest with special needs at this year’s under-the-sea-themed event. The afternoon includes playing carnival games, taking photos, shooting hoops, dancing and enjoying a meal together. Students are drawn to this event year after year, as it fosters lasting relationships and a strong sense of community.
