  • Saint Joseph's University students can get involved with the Maguire Art Museum in several ways.

    • Collections Management. Bring the university’s impressive collection to the public by helping manage the database. 
    • Gallery Attendant. As visitors tour the museum, speak with them about the artwork on view and answer questions.
    • Docent. Students will be educated about the works on view so that they can lead tours of the museum. 
    • Teacher. Qualified art education students can work with K-12 students on gallery tours and art instruction.

  • The Maguire Art Museum is an integral part of the SJU mission of learning excellence offering faculty another resource for interdisciplinary discourse, teaching spaces, and special events. As faculty, you can teach your class in the museum, curate an exhibit with your students, bring your class for a private tour or let the museum host your next lecture. The museum offers:

    • 15 galleries with permanent and rotating exhibitions
    • 1200-square-foot Great Hall available for presentations and educational events featuring a state-of-the-art audio visual system 
    • Modern classroom for 35 
    • Works of art spanning 3000 years of world history
    • Teaching Gallery to curate an exhibit tailored to your classes
