Embrace the Jesuit Mission at the museum with art related activities all week

Self-guided Ignatian-inspired tour
Location: Maguire Art Museum 1st and 2nd floors
Explore Ignatian-inspired artwork in this self-guided tour created by student, Jack Kohn '25. Ask the front desk for the tour brochure and look for the SJU shield stickers throughout the galleries.

Crafting for a Cause
Location: Maguire Art Museum Great Hall
- Decorate placemats to be donated to St. Francis Inn Soup Kitchen
- Make Valentine's for residents of Simpson House, Inglis House and Manresa Hall Jesuit Infirmary
- Weave bonding squares to be donated to babies and parents in the NICU in partnership with Today is a Good Day. No experience needed.
These crafting materials will be available in the Great Hall during ALL of mission week for visitors to take part at their leisure.

Conserving Religious Art
Location: Chapel of St. Joseph
Museum intern, Celeste Friend, and conservator, Doug Martenson, will be conserving two plaster casts that are part of the university's art collection. The casts are of two apostles featured on the south transept of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, Amiens, France. Stop by to learn more about the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the apostle casts, and the conservation process.
This will be an informal Q&A and conversation.

Visio Divina / Sacred Seeing
Location: Maguire Art Museum meet in lobby
"Walk with the Excluded" by reflecting on works from the exhibit "Make or Break: Creativity as an Act of Survival," created by artists who created their work while incarcerated or institutionalized. Then join in an art-making activity, using art as a tool for prayer to engage personal and collective spiritual wholeness.
