Pennsylvania’s voter registration deadline is Monday, October 19! Looking for an easy and convenient way to register to vote and apply for, receive and return your mail-in ballot? This election season, it is important to make a voting plan. And this week, the University will be offering shuttle service to and from Overbrook Elementary School, located at 2032 N. 62 Street, which serves as a satellite election office for Philadelphia voters.

Philadelphia residents (including students who will have lived in a Philadelphia residence hall or apartment for 30 days prior to the election) can visit one of the city’s satellite election offices between now and Tuesday, November 3 for all of their voting needs. Please note that deadlines for PA voter registration (Monday, October 19) and absentee ballot requests (Tuesday, October 27) still apply.

EDITOR NOTE: Due to facilities maintenance issues, the Overbrook satellite office will be closed on Thursday, October 15.

Shuttle Times:

• Tuesday, October 13: 3 - 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, October 14: 3 - 7 p.m.
• Thursday, October 15: 3 - 7 p.m. (Canceled)
• Saturday, October 17: 12 - 4 p.m.

Shuttles will run on a continuous loop, picking up at the Mandeville Hall shuttle stop and dropping off at Overbrook Elementary School. The last pickup from Overbrook Elementary School back to campus will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday, and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Shuttle buses will be running at 50% capacity to ensure physical distancing, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What to Bring:

• ID: First-time voters must show proof of identification. Learn more about acceptable forms of ID, including SJU student ID cards. You will also need your SJU ID to ride the shuttle.
• Mask and Hand Sanitizer: Remember that your iCARE pledge is still in effect, so mask up, maintain a distance of six feet from others, and pack the sanitizer.

Can’t make the shuttle times? Overbrook Elementary School is just a short walk from campus. You can visit the location Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also register to vote and request your absentee ballot online.
