How To Vote
U.S. citizens can vote by mail, absentee ballot or early voting. Each state has different election rules, as well as its own set of rules for mail-in and absentee voting. Check out your state election office website to see if you can vote by mail. For Philadelphia residents, you can also return your mail-in ballot at one of these mail-in drop-off locations. Sample ballots may be viewed by entering your address online.
In Pennsylvania, polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Note: Pennsylvania residents who are voting in person for the first time must bring a photo or non-photo ID. A list of acceptable forms of identification can be found online.
Voting as a Student
Did you know that you can choose to vote in the state where you attend college instead of your home state? Note that you must be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to vote for at least 30 days before the election.
