Overview

The Department of Music, Theatre and Film offers an undergraduate major in music, as well as a major in theatre and film with declared concentrations in film/TV, musical theatre and theatre. Minors are also offered in music, music industry, film and TV, and theatre studies.

    The music major or minor at Saint Joseph’s University provides a comprehensive curriculum that deepens musical understanding and awareness, fosters creative expression and encourages critical analysis and inquiry. It combines coursework in music theory, composition, history and performance. Students in the music major can also choose a concentration in Music Therapy or an advisory track in Music Technology and Production.
