The Computer Science Department offers a major in information technology (IT), a major and minor in computer science and a computer science M.S. Each program prepares students for professional careers and advanced study. Students learn how to solve problems using networking, database management, artificial intelligence, 3D game development, graphics, web technologies and so much more.

The certificate can be stacked with the software development certificate to earn a Master of Science in computer science.

Cybersecurity Certificate Certificate College of Arts and Sciences
Cybersecurity is increasingly important across all industries. Our graduate cybersecurity certificate program will prepare you to understand and solve security challenges, opening new opportunities for career advancement in a variety of industries. The program is stackable, meaning credits can be applied toward a computer science MS (for students who start with the core software development certificate).

Software Development Certificate Certificate College of Arts and Sciences
With a certificate in software development from Saint Joseph’s University, you will grow your knowledge with a certificate to add to your resume. You can also decide to continue on to earn your Master of Science in computer science by adding an additional certificate in web and database technologies or artificial intelligence, depending on your interests and career goals. This certificate is completed in five courses or 15 credits.
