Women's Center Resources and Services
The Career Closet
Co-sponsored by the Career Center and the Women's Center, the Career Closet provides new and gently used inclusive professional clothing, accessories, shoes, and outerwear free of charge to all members of the Saint Joseph's University community. We embrace the philosophy of “take what you need, and give what you can” to ensure that everyone on our campus has equal access to the attire needed for interviews, events, and jobs.
The Career Closet consists of two rooms on the second floor of the Women’s Center: one for women’s sizing and one for men’s sizing. Both rooms have numerous items in a variety of categories such as suits, jackets, pants, shirts, tops, dresses, shoes, ties, and other accessories. The Career Closet is resourced by generous donations from those within and connected to the SJU community. Donations can dropped off at the Women’s Center or the Career Center.
Operation Tampon
Cura Personalis. Period.
Operation Tampon provides free period products (pads, tampons, and liners) to the students, staff, and faculty of the SJU community. The Women’s Center headquarters and administers Operation Tampon by distributing products in baskets, located in several women’s and all gender bathrooms across both the Hawk Hill and University City campuses. Supported by HawkHUB and the Women’s Leadership Initiative, we rely on donations to refill the bins on a weekly basis. Operation Tampon is also resourced by generous donations from those within and tangential to the SJU community. Donations can be dropped off at the Women’s Center or through the SJU Women’s Center Amazon Wishlist.
