Etiquette and Photography Guidelines
The Barnes Arboretum at Saint Joseph’s University is a living museum and active horticulture school. Visitors are reminded of the following:
-
Many of the trees are mature and tire easily from added weight and young tree branches can break. No tree climbing.
-
Do not disturb the garden beds. Small plants can easily be trampled and soil compacted.
-
No picking of flowers or removing of any other garden materials. Commemorate your visit with personal photos only.
-
No littering.
-
No pets are permitted on the grounds. Service animals are welcome.
-
No sporting activities.
Photography is permitted to commemorate your visit to the arboretum. Professional photography must be cleared with the Office of Marketing and Communications at Saint Joseph’s University by emailed marcomm@sju.edu. We ask that the arboretum serve as the beautiful backdrop of your photos, but not the primary subject. Signage should not be photographed.
