Have you already earned a bachelors degree and would like to specialize your education and credentials to better support individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)? Maybe you would like to advance in your current field or would like to enter into a new, relevant and challenging career opportunity.
There is a growing need to understand learn the growing population of those impacted by ASD and in response, Saint Joseph’s now offers coursework in autism studies for occupational therapists, mobile therapists, speech pathologist, physical therapists, policy-makers and health care providers.
The eight course post baccalaureate certificate includes an introduction to autism theories, techniques, treatment and therapies through five theoretical courses and three practicum courses that provide fieldwork that prepare you to site for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) examination. The BCaBA credential is an important certification for professionals in the field which is recognized by the health, consumer and government industries.
