Today, Lutz is a traffic anchor and reporter at CBS Philadelphia, sharing stories and issues that are pertinent to the Philadelphia community.

I am able to give Philadelphians a platform to tell their stories and highlight some of the 'silent heroes' you might not have heard about otherwise. That means so much to me,
Chandler Lutz, BBA ’16
With Saint Joseph’s Hawk Hill campus in close proximity to a variety of news outlets, Lutz was able to land an internship with PHL17, where she later earned a part-time position as a newsroom apprentice. In this role, Lutz was writing, editing and shooting news content. The position quickly became full-time as they promoted her into a multimedia journalist role and then a traffic anchor. Lutz maintained her on-air position before being promoted into her current job in 2018.
“Highlighting stories in my community gives me purpose,” says Lutz. “I am able to give Philadelphians a platform to tell their stories and highlight some of the 'silent heroes' you might not have heard about otherwise. That means so much to me.”
