Wellness Week to Hit Hawk Hill

Saint Joseph’s University will hold its first ever “Wellness Week” Sept. 24 through Sept. 29 creating a University-wide effort to raise awareness of physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. The Wellness Week Committee, made up of members from 14 different academic departments, has called for both student and faculty involvement to create a campus-wide collaboration.

Find out at Saint Joseph's University Gallery when photographer Peter Miraglia's "Portraits" premieres. The exhibit will run Oct. 1 thru Nov. 2, but will be closed during fall break, Oct. 15 and 16. An artist's reception is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5, from 6–8 p.m.


Saint Joseph’s University Places in Top 10 of U.S. News’ 2013 Rankings

PHILADELPHIA (Sept. 12, 2012) - Saint Joseph’s University is again one of the top 10 – at No. 8 – among 193 master’s universities in the north in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 edition of Best Colleges. The rankings, which were released on Sept. 12, placed Saint Joseph’s in the top tier in its region for the fifteenth consecutive year.

SJU, Archdiocese Sign Letter of Intent for Purchase of the Cardinal’s Residence

<p>Saint Joseph&rsquo;s University announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to acquire the 8.9-acre property at the corner of City and Cardinal Avenues known as the Cardinal&rsquo;s Residence.</p>

Parents and freshmen were helped by SJU-Haul, a program consisting of volunteers from many of the University's student groups. New University President C. Kevin Gillespie, S.J. The annual Mass of the Holy Spirit, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13, takes on added meaning this year as the culmination of “Magis Day,” a 24-hour celebration of the University’s newly integrated marketing initiative. Branded Live Greater: That’s the Magis, the campaign made its debut in late July with a live campus event on NBC10 followed by a major television commercial blitz during the London Olympics.


An Evening With Tom Brokaw

The Haub School of Business and its Dean Leadership Program is partnering with The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia to host an event with award-winning journalist and bestselling author Tom Brokaw on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Michael J. Hagan Arena on Saint Joseph's campus. Brokaw will discuss his latest book, The Time of Our Lives: A Conversation about America.
