Saint Joseph’s University’s College of Professional and Liberal Studies (CPLS) has expanded its SJU Professional continuing education division by offering not-for-credit online courses through a new partnership with Ed2Go. A leader in adult enrichment education, this partnership will allow CPLS to dynamically offer a variety of continuing education courses each semester.
John Wrynn, S.J., former chair and professor of history at Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, N.J., joins Saint Joseph’s University as the current Donald I. MacLean, S.J., Chair for the 2012 -13 academic year.
The Saint Joseph’s University community is celebrating its third annual Diversity Awareness Week from Sept. 17 – 20 with a range of events and activities for students, faculty and staff to recognize the cultural differences on campus.
Saint Joseph’s University will hold its first ever “Wellness Week” Sept. 24 through Sept. 29 creating a University-wide effort to raise awareness of physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. The Wellness Week Committee, made up of members from 14 different academic departments, has called for both student and faculty involvement to create a campus-wide collaboration.

PHILADELPHIA (Sept. 12, 2012) - Saint Joseph’s University is again one of the top 10 – at No. 8 – among 193 master’s universities in the north in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 edition of Best Colleges. The rankings, which were released on Sept. 12, placed Saint Joseph’s in the top tier in its region for the fifteenth consecutive year.
This fall, Saint Joseph’s University introduced the new Hawk Card, an enhanced identification card that grants access to essential campus services for students, faculty and staff and includes a new feature, Hawk Cash, a significant benefit for the University community.
<p>Saint Joseph’s University announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to acquire the 8.9-acre property at the corner of City and Cardinal Avenues known as the Cardinal’s Residence.</p>
Over the final weekend in August, freshmen and returning students moved into SJU's on-campus residences. Parents and freshmen were helped by SJU-Haul, a program consisting of volunteers from many of the University's student groups. New University President C. Kevin Gillespie, S.J. '72, handed out water each day.
The annual Mass of the Holy Spirit, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13, takes on added meaning this year as the culmination of “Magis Day,” a 24-hour celebration of the University’s newly integrated marketing initiative. Branded Live Greater: That’s the Magis, the campaign made its debut in late July with a live campus event on NBC10 followed by a major television commercial blitz during the London Olympics.
