Video Featuring SJU’s Kinney Center Earns Emmy Award

PHILADELPHIA (September 11, 2013) — A promotional video shot by local CBR Productions for Saint Joseph’s University’s Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support earned an Emmy Award from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy for Television Arts. The video, shot on campus in the summer of 2012, won in the category Education/Schools, Program/Special. The award was presented to CBR Productions’ Writer/Producer Courtney Brinkerhoff along with members of the Kinney Center’s staff, at a ceremony held September 7 at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia.

“Working on this piece for Saint Joseph’s University was a privilege and wonderful opportunity to help tell the story of The Kinney Center,” says Brinkerhoff. “It is an honor to share the award with the inspiring staff, students and families.”

“CBR Productions and, in particular, Courtney Brinkerhoff and photographer/editor Rob Parker (Parker Digital), have given us a beautifully produced and immensely impactful video that allows us to share the mission and outcomes of the Kinney Center,” says Ryan Hammond, executive director of the Kinney Center. “We are grateful to the families, students and Kinney Center staff members who took the time to contribute to the video and share their stories.”
