Friday, February 8, 2013

PHILADELPHIA (February 8, 2013) — Saint Joseph’s University and Albright College have finalized an agreement that offers Albright College graduates streamlined admission to select Saint Joseph’s master’s programs.

As part of the agreement, Albright graduates will have a choice of ten Saint Joseph’s graduate programs, including the top-ranked Professional MBA, the Master of Science in Criminal Justice and the Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership, each offered either online or in SJU’s Philadelphia campus classrooms.

Application fees will be waived and expected Albright graduates may receive early admission during their final undergraduate semester.

“This partnership is something that will provide benefits to a growing population of Albright College alumni who are seeking advanced degrees and will identify to our incoming and current students a good path forward from Albright,” says Joseph Thomas, the College’s dean of undergraduate studies. “The option of online or campus-based graduate programs at Saint Joseph’s University is a strong fit for our alumni, particularly graduates of our Accelerated Degree Programs, who can achieve an Albright College degree at ten locations in Pennsylvania and Mesa, Arizona.”

“This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for both institutions to work together to address continuing educational needs and increase access to graduate programs for Albright alumni,” says Brice Wachterhauser, Ph.D., Saint Joseph’s University Provost. “We are pleased to be able to offer students a choice of online and campus-based programs.”

A prior partnership in the 1990’s brought Saint Joseph’s Professional MBA and Master of Science in Health Administration to Albright’s main campus in Reading.
