    PHILADELPHIA (May 23, 2014) – Two Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) online degree programs were recently listed among the top in the United States. Bestonlinecolleges.org, an educational resource that ranks the strongest online degree programs, listed SJU’s online Master of Science in Health Administration among the 34 greatest programs in the nation.

    Saint Joseph’s University celebrated the Class of 2014 on Saturday, May 17, by conferring nearly 1,900 doctoral, graduate and undergraduate degrees at its Commencement ceremonies. Frannie and James J. Maguire ’58 received Honorary Doctorates of Public Service at  the undergraduate ceremony. David Hollenbach, S.J.

    The red-tailed hawk-watchers of Saint Joseph’s University are pleased to announce the birth of two eyasses — baby hawks with down for feathers — to the nesting raptor couple Crimson (female) and Grey (male), who were recently named in a contest in honor of SJU’s colors.

    PHILADELPHIA (May 14, 2014) — Saint Joseph’s University will celebrate the Class of 2014 by conferring nearly 1,900 doctoral, graduate and undergraduate degrees at its Commencement ceremonies, Saturday, May 17. The graduate ceremony will be held at 9 a.m., and the undergraduate ceremony at 3 p.m. on the Maguire Campus. Those not able to attend commencement may view the ceremony on the University's live stream.

    Saint Joseph’s University recently received a $20,000 grant from the William Penn Foundation (WPF) that will support the Institute for Environmental Stewardship’s (IES) stormwater management education programming.

    As SJU students prepare for final exams, therapy dogs visit the library to help them de-stress with some canine companionship. First offered in fall 2012, PAWS for a Study Break engages students to mingle and nuzzle with the dogs. In pre- and post-PAWS surveys, students reported a 50 percent reduction in stress and said they felt relaxed and ready to get back to studying.

    The Haub School of Business is expanding its reach and deepening its impact with the launch of a new online delivery option for its executive MBA in food marketing. With online classes beginning this fall, the MBA is designed to prepare food industry professionals for senior management.
