The food and consumer products industries are vast and diverse. A bachelor’s degree in food marketing provides the important and distinctive training found only at five universities in the United States and can lead to numerous careers in consumer products, marketing/sales, pharmaceuticals and a wide range of other fields.

Well-known businesses continue to recruit and hire Saint Joseph’s food marketing graduates on an annual basis. Among the more recent are the Campbell Soup Company, ConAgra Foods, E&J Gallo Winery and Estee Lauder.

Other students choose to take their education to the next level and enter graduate school. Recent undergraduates have gone on to further study at, among other institutions, Drexel University, Saint Joseph’s University and Villanova University.

Food marketing programs at SJU are lauded throughout the industry as truly world-class. In the most recent survey year (2011)[1], the average starting salary for a Saint Joseph’s food marketing graduate was $49,000.
