Post-Baccalaureate Certificate

The post-baccalaureate certificate program in public safety management is a graduate-level program designed for individuals who possess a B.A. or a B.S. who wish to pursue a shorter program of focused study. At this level, students complete the first six of seven foundation courses. All coursework completed may be later applied to the public safety master’s program.

Courses include:

  • Fire Department Organization and Management (Management Principles and Practices)
  • Seminar: Environmental Protection Management
  • Seminar: Disaster Planning and Management (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
  • Risk Analysis

Post-Master’s Certificate

Students who already possess a master’s degree and complete six courses or 18 credits will receive a post-master's certificate. Courses for this certificate must be selected in consultation with the program director. Upon completion, candidates will be awarded a post-master's certificate in public safety management or public safety with concentration in law enforcement administration.
