Public Safety Management Graduate Certificate
At Saint Joseph’s, post-baccalaureate and post-master's certificate programs in public safety management assist students in developing a concentrated understanding of the challenges involved in emergency management, occupational health and safety, environmental protection and related fields.
The post-baccalaureate certificate program in public safety management is a graduate-level program designed for individuals who possess a B.A. or a B.S. who wish to pursue a shorter program of focused study. At this level, students complete the first six of seven foundation courses. All coursework completed may be later applied to the public safety master’s program.
- Fire Department Organization and Management (Management Principles and Practices)
- Seminar: Environmental Protection Management
- Seminar: Disaster Planning and Management (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
- Risk Analysis
Students who already possess a master’s degree and complete six courses or 18 credits will receive a post-master's certificate. Courses for this certificate must be selected in consultation with the program director. Upon completion, candidates will be awarded a post-master's certificate in public safety management or public safety with concentration in law enforcement administration.
