Criminal Justice Post-Master's Certificate
Saint Joseph’s University's post-master’s certificate in criminal justice offers students who already have a master’s degree in criminal justice the opportunity to acquire knowledge in another area of specialization in the field. This graduate certificate is a six-course (18-credit) program of study that offers multiple areas of concentration.
Concentrations for the certificate include:
- Criminal Justice Administration
- Federal Law Enforcement
- Intelligence and Crime Analysis
- Police Executive Administration
- Probation, Parole and Corrections
- Management and Justice
- Behavior Analysis
The certificate requires completion of four courses from one prescribed area and two free academic electives. The Criminal Justice and Public Safety Institute offers personal academic advising to assist students in choosing the courses that will best meet their career goals.
Students have benefited substantially from obtaining a post-master’s certificate in the criminal justice field. For many, completion of the certificate has afforded an opportunity to advance professionally to higher levels and opened up new job opportunities.
Students who complete the post-master's certificate program may also apply these credit hours toward a master of science in criminal justice degree.
