Criminal Justice Police Program
In addition to the traditional and evening curricula, Saint Joseph’s offers a criminal justice program geared specifically toward current police officers, sheriffs and corrections officers. The program offers a flexible and convenient option for officers seeking to advance their careers, advance their education or simply network within the community. The degree gives students access to key industry experts and strong community ties throughout the region.
Students can take classes on campus or at the Philadelphia Police Academy, Lower Merion Police Department, Upper Providence Police Station or the Bucks County Training Center. Sworn officers currently serving in federal, state or local government agencies are eligible for a 25 percent tuition discount.
Saint Joseph’s understands that no course can replace the knowledge gained in the field. Students may transfer up to 75 credits from a regionally accredited college or university. With the police program, Saint Joseph’s awards 12-15 credits to students who have graduated from basic police training programs. Additional credits can be awarded for successful completion of correctional academy courses, POSIT and/or POLEX courses.
