Nominations are open for the Employer of the Year Award! Each year, our employer partners commit their time and resources to campus recruitment and professional development activities with students. The Career Development Center is accepting nominations for "Employer of the Year" to honor an employer who made an impression on you and the campus, whether it was through recruiting activities, such as the career fair or on-campus interviews, or through professional development activities such as mock interviews and resume reviews.

The On-Campus Interviewing Program is an opportunity for students to interview on campus for full time and internship positions with external employers. Over 90 employers come to campus each year to interview students in either the Career Development Center (Moore Hall) or the Academy of Food Marketing (Mandeville, Room 150). Interviews take place from September-November and February-April. From the Class of 2013, SJU graduates who found their jobs through the Career Development Center’s on-campus interviewing program had an average total starting salary of $54,30.

Some industries, such as advertising, publishing and many nonprofits, do not come to campus to conduct interviews, based on their hiring timelines. However, you can still target these and other industries that don't come to campus and engage with these employer through multiple other career events hosted on campus.
